ABOUT THE PROJECT
EC One is a trailblazing B-Corp certified ethical jewellery brand, renowned as the first British jewellery workshop to achieve this distinction. With all designs meticulously handcrafted in London, EC One is committed to sustainability, utilizing 100% recycled metals and ethically sourced, conflict-free gemstones. Their in-house workshop harmoniously blends traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, creating timeless pieces that honor both artistry and the planet.
We were engaged by the talented team at Stone Barrell (stonebarrell.com) to design and develop a custom Shopify store that encapsulates EC One’s ethos and enhances their digital presence.

OUR APPROACH
We began by developing a component-based design system in Figma, thoughtfully incorporating EC One’s existing brand assets and guidelines. This approach ensured a cohesive and scalable design framework, maintaining brand consistency across the site while allowing flexibility for future enhancements.
Transitioning into the development phase, we meticulously implemented these components within Shopify, crafting a seamless and engaging user experience that reflects EC One’s commitment to quality and sustainability.

A critical aspect of this project was ensuring zero downtime and minimal disruption to EC One’s ongoing business operations. We successfully maintained the existing website live throughout the development process, facilitating a smooth transition that preserved sales and customer engagement.
